Mariana Gomez, DVM

Dr. Mariana Gomez was born in Mexico City but moved to sunny San Diego with her family at the age of two. Growing up in San Diego, she developed a deep love for animals and the vibrant community around her. Her passion for veterinary medicine led her to the Autonomous University of Baja California, where she completed her degree and focused on caring for small animals. She then went on to complete a Small Animal rotating internship at The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic in Arizona before returning to San Diego. Her clinical interests include surgery and caring for patients in the ICU.

Dr. Gomez shares her loving home with her husband Christopher who is a US Marine and an Ohio native. The have two cute yet feisty Yorkies whom they adore. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Gomez enjoys spending time with her family, traveling to new destinations, and relaxing with her favorite Netflix shows.

She also has a twin, though whether they are identical or fraternal remains a charming mystery. Dr. Gomez’s love for animals and wellness drives her work and devotion to all her furry patients.
