Everyone meet FPAH’s patient of the month, Toby Jimenez!

Toby is a curious 5 month old pup who was brought into our hospital one afternoon after being bitten by another dog through the fence. Upon examination one of Toby’s toes was bitten half off and had another laceration on his paw as well. Dr. Gomez performed a digit amputation to remove the remainder of the toe in order to be able to close the wound and give Toby the best chance of healing. Thanks to the collaborations of our Doctors, the compliance and care of Toby’s owners, and multiple follow-up appointments Toby has made a complete recovery. Toby’s owners say that even a missing toe cannot slow Toby down, he now is back at home and back to his happy, playful self.
