Say hello to Chata, our wonderful December Patient of the Month!

Chata is a spunky 4-year-old pup who normally brings nothing but joy (and a little chaos!) to her family. But recently, after finishing her heat cycle, her family noticed she just wasn’t herself. Chata became lethargic, wasn’t eating well, and even started vomiting which is very unlike her energetic personality.

After a full exam and diagnostics, our team discovered that Chata had developed pyometra, a serious infection of the uterus that requires urgent surgery. Thanks to her dad’s quick action and the teamwork of our doctors and technicians, we created a treatment plan right away and Chata was off to surgery that very night.

We’re happy to share that her surgery was a complete success!

Chata was an absolute sweetheart throughout her stay with us, becoming a Freddie favorite among our staff. She charmed every single team member with her gentle nature and brave spirit.

Her owner recently updated us and let us know that Chata has fully returned to her playful, silly, energetic self. Exactly how we love to see her!
