This month’s recognition goes to Stormi. Stormi came in with bloody stool and had recently been spayed. Her surgery site was inflamed, with the incision having opened and exposed necrotic tissue. Stormy was placed under anesthesia to have the incision debrided and closed. During surgery, the doctor discovered a large amount of foul-smelling purulent discharge coming from an abscess on the body wall. The abscess was debrided, and the abdomen was thoroughly flushed. We successfully treated her, and her family was thrilled with the outcome. Stormi is doing well now, and we’re happy to have made a positive impact on her care.
